In all aspects of Black Entertainment; Music, Film, TV, the Arts -- Black Women are holding on to the limelight.  Yeah, some are doing a better job than others, (and some simply should've let go a long ways back! hehehe) but after watching Patti LaBelle at the 2008 Essence Music Festival, we're hoping that a few will stay in the spotlight a while longer.

Hang out with us as we attempt to keep up with some of our favorite Black Singers, Black Actresses,    Black Writers and Black Entertainers. 

It won't be easy. Most of these ladies don't know the meaning of the word "Retirement" ...  and some -- Gladys Knight , Alfre Woodard , Chaka Khan , Loretta Devine , and Debbie Allen for example, are busier than ever!

I guess thats one thing they have in common with us happy fans (smile).
