Two sayings which always thrown about when the topic of beauty is presented are: Beauty is more than skin deep, and Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 

The funny thing about age, is that the older you get, you realize that Truer words have never been spoken.

When Sistah Saints speak of Black Beauty, we may very well be talking about a person's personality, or their eating habits -- both of these things play such an important role in how we feel, and that is ultimately what we display to the world.

Black BeautySo we're going to discuss the basics (healthy diet, skincare, etc.) in addition to Cosmetics, Wigs, and Perfume.

Wrinkles, laugh lines, grey hair, raised moles and other "signs of aging" (HA!) will get their time as well -- maybe even more time than expected since some of us black baby boomers are wearing them so darned WELL!

You can be tore up from the floor up, covered in mud and sporting a Don King hairdo; but if you're feeling good about yourself, people will look at that sparkle in your eye and the smile on your face and say, "Did you see her? Only a Black woman can make dirt look that good!"
